Kendal Mountain Festival to hold Bike Night in Bristol

Kendal Mountain Festival is to hold a cycle touring and mountain biking night in Bristol on July 1. Bike Night, part of Kendal Mountain Festival’s main November event, has become such a huge attraction that organisers have decided to take it on tour with Bristol the first such event.

The evening, which will be held at the Redgrave Theatre, will be hosted by adventure sports photographer, mountain biker and filmmaker Dan Milner.

He will be joined by Aneela and Andy McKenna, who will share their experiences of exploring the wilds of Scotland by mountain bike. Other guests will include Stephen Fabes, who has recently returned from a six-year, six-continent bike trip and Laurence McJannet, author of Bikepacking: Mountain Bike Camping Adventures on the Wild Trails of Britain.

As you can probably gather, the evening is themed around bike adventure and exploration, but it will also include films on other cycling topics. Organisers say only they are looking to showcase the very best of outdoor filmmaking. There will also be prizes on offer from Ortlieb, Sidetracked, Cranked and Bombtrack.

Tickets are £18 and are available from The Redgrave Theatre.
