#mycyclingweekend - where's your bike when it's at home?

We've seen your bikes flying over mountains, through cities, and outside coffee shops. But where do they live when they're at home?...

It’s all fun and games, shouting about your bike when it’s carrying you over a mountain pass, or flying through a leafy valley. But, the truth of any relationship lies in how you are when you’re at home behind closed doors.

We want to see what your relationship with your bike is like at home. Do you banish your bike to the back garden shed? Does it take pride of place, perfectly mounted on your living room wall? Are you forever tripping over it while it clutters up your hallway?

Give us an insight! Our favorite bike abodes will win some road.cc goodies, with one lucky winner getting their hands on a BTwin 300 Multi Tool from Decathlon.

So, whether your bike’s locked up to the garage wall, tied to a fence in the alleyway, or cosied up in its own purpose-built bike shed show us!

Here’s a little inspiration from our end.

This is my bike in our little third-floor balcony room, and yes, I get plenty of grief about visitors and partners tripping over it.

Our commercial director Elaine stands her bike proudly in her kitchen:

And finally, rather than exiling one of his bikes to his bike shed, our tech editor Dave Arthur keeps a few out there - you know, so they're not lonely.

Send us your photos on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter along with the #mycyclingweekend hashtag, and we'll pick our favourites.

I must confess that when my wife was away for a few days the outside bikes migrated indoors.

We keep our bikes in what could be a dining room. At one point when my son was at home we had 7 in there! There is also a useful set of book shelves for helmets, shoes, spares, tools etc.

My very tolerant wife was never that keen on me keeping bikes in the dining room, but now she has been bitten by the road bike bug it is where both our bikes live. I have to keep the others in the shed though 2
