“There’s ramps that you dream about riding that you would never find in an average day skate park, so to make it a reality, you just have to build it yourself,” says Drew Bezanson. This explains the rather striking ramp set-up created by himself and Morgan Wade for their new BMX video, Dark Woods.
Red Bull gave Drew, a Canadian, and Morgan, a Texan, the chance to build their dream course in the Brecon Beacons. What they came up with and what they did with it can be seen below. English rider, Dean Cueson, also makes an appearance.
The project took just three weeks and Drew says that working with Morgan was ‘a no-brainer’.
“I looked up to Morgan growing up because he was always the rider doing the biggest transfers, going the highest and looking at the ramps differently. Skip forward 10 years and nothing has changed. Morgan is also always living in the moment. If I was to suggest something, his response is always "why not now?"
It seems quite an extreme setup. Was there anything else he wishes they could have built?
“There was definitely more stuff I wished I could have built. Even having more time to ride the ramps or having the ability to shuffle them around. The possibilities would have been endless.”
You can see more of Drew in this video of him at his local bike park in Ontario. The scenery might not be quite as striking as that of South Wales, but the riding’s no less impressive.

Wow! Morgan has been killing
Wow! Morgan has been killing it for years. Awesome ramp setup, and in the UK, who’d have thought?
