Boardman Bikes launch two new limited edition bikes costing £499 and £999

Two new limited edition road bikes launched in time for Christmas

Boardman Bikes have launched two new limited edition road bikes in the run up to Christmas and they will be available, exclusively at Halfords, from today - well, one of them is. The two bikes are the Road Sport Limited Edition costing £499.99 and the Road Team Carbon Limited Edition priced at £999.99

The Road Sport Limited Edition, which won’t be available until December, is based on the Road Sport we reviewed earlier this year but gets an upgraded carbon fibre fork (with aluminium steerer) to save a bit of weight.

The frame is constructed from 7005 triple butted aluminium and it’s painted a new colour with yellow graphics and matching tyres and bar tape.

There is the same 16-speed Shimano Claris groupset as found on the regular Road Sport, along with Mavic CXP-22 rims and 25mm wide Vittoria Zaffiro tyres, which will provide a bit more comfort with no lack of speed. Take a better look at it here.

Available now, the Boardman Performance Series Road Team Carbon features a full carbon fibre frame and fork, constructed using T700 unidirectional carbon centred around a press-fit 30 bottom bracket. There’s a tapered steerer tube to increase front-end stiffness.

It’s built up with a SRAM Apex groupset with a compact chainset and Tektro R540 brakes. Wheels feature Mavic CXP-22 rims with 28 spokes in the front wheel and 32 in the rear. they’re fitted with Vittoria Zaffiro 23mm tyres.
Boardman’s own E4P handlebars, stem, seatpost and saddle complete the bike.

The frame and fork is finished in a new white paint job with yellow accents, which is only available on this limited edition model. The bike weighs a claimed 8.6kg (18.95lb). Take a look at it on their website.
