I thought the 5 highlights show was alright, and for the first time there was no strange missing shows, for the tour or vuelta, which there was when it was on dmax or quest. I did cough up for the month of July, which I will do again next year, I always take off the week of my birthday so I want full day coverage on my hols.

@cmedred I can't find anything online with the name of the suspect or about her being charged - do Canadian police maybe have the same rules as the UK where only age and gender is released until a charge is preferred? Admittedly four months seems a long time between arrest and charge but there can be legitimate reasons for that.

Indeed, the dim americans who control so much sports coverage just don't get that 'more' is not always 'better'. There's a limit to how many hours a day even fanatics can watch any sport yet TNT continue to spout that Eurosport at £8/mth didn't include crap like fighting, football, 'American whatever' bow provided for "only" £32 with the bonus of endless idiotic adverts. Well , Scottie, say bye bye to a few million other niche sport fans! Phew, and relax!!!sorry for the rant

@Rendel Harris Theoretically, you have to do that (take a photo and upload it to an app) with Dott and Voi as well, and probably all the operators. In practice, the operators don't have (won't pay for) enough staff to check every photo, and whatever algorithms they have to check the photos are inefficient. It's just possible Lime, uniquely, are properly checking and enforcing all photos; but I find it unlikely, from what I say of other operators and from having spoken to some of their employees.

@Nigel Garage Just as an infinite number of monkeys, typewriters and time could eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare, we live in hope that one day one of your attempts at humour will be funny rather than just sad and obsessive. Taking into account your two dozen previous, now banned, usernames you must be well into five figures on comments now and it hasn't happened yet, but hope springs eternal.

I was talking with my cyclist friends about the Silca Omata during our coffee stop on Saturday. In the end, we were trying to guess whether we'd see one locally within the next two years. I'm pretty much the target market for this (plenty of disposable income, buy retro-looking stuff like cameras with real manual controls) and it's probably treble the price I'd be willing to pay just for the cool factor. We couldn't think of any local regular who might be more likely to buy it.

@kingleo You could but that would, firstly, require a massive infra investment in docking stations as there are none at the moment except for TfL bikes, and secondly it would take away the main attraction of dockless ebikes which is that they can be ridden straight to your destination. A better solution might be to make what you have to do with Limes in some boroughs compulsory across London and for all companies: when you finish your ride you have to take a photo through the app to record that you have left the bike parked in a safe and considerate manner and a fine is applied to your payment method if it's not.

No idea how practical it is, but they could make the user pay a parking fee that is only refundable when the e-bike is put in a proper docking machine.
