Bad season for Road.cc favourite

Albert Timmer has been one bloggers favourite for a long time now, but his 2011 form may cause a reappraisal

After a couple of seasons on a upward trajectory, friend of this website Albert Timmer has had a poor time of it in 2011.

The Dutchman became a favourite after I spent a pleasant afternoon at the side of the road with his family watching him speed by in the Catalunyan stages of the 2009 Tour de France. Regular readers will have enjoyed posts mentioning the great man in the past.yes

Here is his CQ Ranking, a system that up until the IG Markets Index was born in 2011, was the bible for picking your fantasy cycling team !

As far as I know, Timmer is retained for season 2012 with Skil/Shimano or 1T4i as they are going to be know (before we think Bosch take over sponsorship in April).

The domestique made the break last time the Tour de France went up Mont Ventoux but was a late withdrawal from the Tour of Britain in September... maybe he knew his fanclub was coming to see him !

When this blog names its rider of the year for 2011, Albert might not win it... and that would be a real surprise.

For what it's worth (nothing!) he's just won the Dutch National RR in my career mode of PCM 2011. 16

I like to take in as much information as possible before picking a thoroughly average team for the fantasy league 1

Just a thought though JTC wouldn't you be better off using the player rankings on the Fantasy Game to pick your Fantasy Team rather than the IG Markets ones?
