road.cc has tested a few Storck road bikes over the years and here’s another, the new Aernario.2 Platinum Edition G1. Watch the video above to see a detailed first look at the key features of this latest model from the German bike brand.
What you’re looking at is a €9,000 bike with a Dura-Ace Di2 groupset and DT Swiss carbon wheels, and Storck’s own one-piece carbon handlebar. The frame weighs a claimed 790g and the fork is 280g, producing a 6.5kg complete build on our scales. Truly superbike territory.
The frame is designed to be aerodynamic, using what it calls Sectional Aerodynamic Shape for the down tube, along with an integrated seat clamp. There’s also Proportional Tubing, which means the tubes and layup are different on each size frame to ensure the perfect balance of stiffness and weight for every height rider. It’s something a lot of companies now do, like Specialized and its Rider First Engineering.
Buy the Storck Aernario if you have deep pockets and want a super lightweight and stiff race bike with enough comfort for everyday use. There’ll be a full review on road.cc soon so stay tuned for that.
