It’s not every day that famous Italian shoe brand Sidi releases a new product, so the launch of the all-new Wire 2 is a pretty big deal.
They were actually teased earlier this year at Eurobike but they’ve only just become available here in the UK, and I’ve managed to get my hands on a pair for testing. Lucky me! hit play on the video above to discover what’s new about the Wire 2 shoes.

The new Wire 2 carries many of the key features of the previous shoe but adds a number of refinements, some of which are clearly inspired by the Shot launched last year. But probably the biggest talking point at the moment is this new matt grey finish. What do you think? Answer in the comments section below please.

That’s a good question, and I will ask them next week

Less bothered about the colourway – more concerned that Sidi continue to offer very limited cleat positioning with little room to move the cleats backwards.
Had a pair of the original wires, loved the styling – couldn’t get a good cleat position on them. Sold them and went back to Specialized.
Would it kill them to put a little more adjustment in there ?

I’m pretty sure that any adjustment of cleat position is granted by the cleat itself, as the screw holes in the sole are typically fixed in place

Matt grey is ok. Would prefer in matt black and as Meonshore posted, more cleat adjustment.
