Brooks England, most famous for its leather saddles, is hooking up with Vans to release a limited edition collection of accessories and footwear for riding.
The range, created by designer Taka Hayashi, comprises the Vans TH OG Sk8-Hi LX and TH OG Classic Slip-On LX shoes, along with special editions of the Brooks Barbican shoulder bag and Swift saddle.

“I chose the Swift model, which is one of my favourite saddles from the Brooks collection,” said Taka Hayashi. “I wanted to incorporate the Swift symbol and incorporate cues from south-western motifs.”

That explains why the designs have something of a gunslinger look to them, to road.cc eyes at least.
“The saddle motif is applied with a moulded emboss plate, which is a unique process,” said Taka Hayashi. “For the sneakers, we chose to utilise laser etching to maintain the detailed design work and craftsmanship.”

2016 is the 150th anniversary of Brooks England and the 50th anniversary of Vans.
The collection will be available from 3 December 2016.
