Another picture has emerged of the next generation of Shimano’s top-level Dura-Ace groupset, this time showing a brake calliper.
Now another picture has appeared on Instagram – apparently taken by devious means! – offering a glimpse of a different bike, this time equipped with rim brakes. It’s really not a clear picture but the rear brake shown appears to be direct mount – where each arm is attached directly to the frame rather than via a central bolt. Direct mount brakes already appear in the Dura-Ace lineup; this one appears to be at least as beefy as the existing version, if not more so.
The new picture also gives us another angle of the chainset, confirming the impression that the cranks are chunkier than the current Dura-Ace design.
That’s about all we can tell you for now. Maybe another picture will be along shortly and we can gradually piece this jigsaw puzzle together.

Carbon?
Carbon?
New Dura Ace
Certainly looks like they have gone for a Carbon crankarm, even though for years they seem to insist that there was no need to go carbon?

Look at the brakes, very
Look at the brakes, very chunky. I thought the 9000 rim brakes could not be improved.
