The Chinese Cycling Association has said it is investigating an incident at the Tour of Hainan on Friday in which riders and staff from the Keyi Look team attacked the occupants of a car belonging to the Switzerland team also competing in the race.
The incident, caught on film, was sparked after Keyi Look rider Wang Xin was involved in a crash after apparently being knocked off his bike by the driver of the Switzerland team car.
In the footage, Wang can be seen knocking one of the car’s occupants to the ground and then kicking him. He then took a track pump from a car and seemed about to attack another staff member of the Switzerland team before police and spectators restrained him.
In its statement, the CCA said that it “holds zero tolerance toward any uncivilized behaviour or violence and has asked all cycling teams, be they Chinese or international, to follow disciplinary rules.”
The overall title at the nine-day UCI 2.HC race was won by Jacopo Mosca of the Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia team.
The Italy-based UCI Professional Continental outfit dominated the race, with Mosca taking the overall lead on Stage 7 from team mate Jakub Mareczko, winner of the previous five stages.

Brilliant effort there, 55kg
Brilliant effort there, 55kg cyclist shows normal sized people who’s the boss.. except no one knows whether to laugh or be shocked, I like the fact that no one was actually scared enough of his ‘wrath’ to actually restrain him or even keep an eye on him until he went and pulled a hand pump out of the boot, presumably to shove it up the nearest swiss team members bottom and start pumping!
Kudos to him for running
Kudos to him for running about in those cleats. I can barely even ride a bike properly in mine.

If you’re referring to the transporter bus fighting scene then I think you will find he is wearing pedals with toe straps.

The car just gave him a friendly little bump. It’s really his fault, riding in the middle of the road as if he owned it, plus not wearing hi-viz clothing. Tut-tut.

Oh no, this could irrevocably harm Swiss/Chinese relations.*
*Some times I wonder what relations some other parts of the world have with each other seeing as England/Britain has had its fingers in all the pies for so long. And Scotland had that Panama thing.

What a f***ed up cycling
What a f***ed up cycling world actually is….
A person that has the one and only motive for this behaviour (a simple revenge) is qestioned and judged… But the support team driver that has millions of motives to knock a competiror off a bike has the last word in this argument, simply denying it and getting away dry from it… FCUK YOU – UCI!
