Launched at the end of last year and based in California, Peloton magazine has quickly established a loyal fan base on both sides of the Atlantic through some excellent coverage of the top-level road racing scene, great photography, insightful interviews and sometimes quirky articles, a recent celebration of the humble Belgian frite being particularly memorable.

Now, it has released its first film, Pillars of Italian Cycling, a 35-minute celebration of some of the country’s most renowned brands, focusing on bike makers Bianchi, Wilier and Carrera, tyre maker Vittoria, clothing firm Castelli and saddle manufacturer Fizik.

The beautifully shot film, which you can watch here, takes you behind the scenes at some of those companies’ factories and includes interviews with the people behind the brands plus some of those who use them, including legendary names such as Felice Gimondi, who rode Bianchi while winning the Tour de France, Vuelta and Giro d’Italia as well as the World Championships.
