British Cycling has announced that it will be releasing a range of replica kit to enable the country’s cyclists to fly the flag in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympics.

Produced by Adidas, the eight-item range “will be designed using team specification, technology and styling,” says British Cycling, made from the same material and with similar performance to that worn by the country’s top riders.

Items will include short and long sleeve jerseys, the latter with a fleece inner, wind vest, bib shorts, gloves, socks and cap, together with a child’s cycling jersey.

British Cycling says that the kit “will be available from a number of well-known cycling retailers,” and there will be “sneak preview” of it at the fortchcoming Manchester Track Cycling World Cup on 18-20 February.

Full details of pricing and retailers will be released shortly, and one of the sales outlets will be Wiggle, where British Cycling members will benefit from a discount when buying items.
