Devon police seek man spotted cycling naked from the waist down

Police in Devon are currently on the lookout for two cyclists: one who has been riding around Teignmouth and Dawlish being abusive to motorists and another who has twice been spotted cycling round Exeter naked from the waist down.

The Mirror reports that the bottomless cyclist has been spotted twice within a week. On both occasions, he was wearing a dark hoodie with the hood pulled up.

He was spotted on Exeter’s Market Street in the early hours of Monday April 18 and again in the early evening of Monday April 25. On both occasions he was seen riding along Smythen Street, Stepcote Hill and Western Way before being spotted on the footpath along the river towards the Quay.

He is described as a white male, aged twenties to early thirties, with collar-length scruffy hair and riding a dark coloured bicycle. You’d think the complete lack of trousers and underwear might be the more striking feature though if you do happen to catch sight of him.

Anyone who with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number 825 for April 25.

Elsewhere, Teignmouth and Dawlish police have received multiple reports of a man being abusive to people as he cycles through the towns.

The Exeter Express and Echo reports that the man has been stopping passers-by on Exeter Road and nearby back roads and has been verbally abusive to drivers. On one occasion, he took the keys out of a car’s ignition and cycled off, leaving the driver unable to move.

Refreshingly, it seems this particular man has at least been wearing shorts. He has also been wearing a helmet and a green high vis jacket.
