Balance and dexterity come together at sports centre in Hackney for 3-minute film

Here's a nice short film to brighten up anyone's Saturday afternoon - a game of bike polo being played out, on unicycles.

The action was filmed at the Queensbridge Sports Centre in London's Hackney, and while the video was posted to Vimeo a year or so ago, it's the first time we've seen it.

We reckon the riders' combination of balance and dexterity deserves a wider audience and hope you enjoy it.

An Unusual Game from Peter Searle on Vimeo.

Born in Scotland, Simon moved to London aged seven and now lives in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds with his miniature schnauzer, Elodie. He fell in love with cycling one Saturday morning in 1994 while living in Italy when Milan-San Remo went past his front door. A daily cycle commuter in London back before riding to work started to boom, he's been news editor at road.cc since 2009. Handily for work, he speaks French and Italian. He doesn't get to ride his Colnago as often as he'd like, and freely admits he's much more adept at cooking than fettling with bikes.

Not a single goal scored. Two parked buses.

Cool and remarkably no foul play compared to cycle polo

Has anyone tried a Bike Polo vs. Unicycle Hockey match (a bit like the Shinty vs Hurling games). Wonder who would win..
