#mycyclingweekend: Black Friday show & tell!

So, you've taken in the deals from around the web. What tickled your fancy? Share it with us & WIN!...

Last weekend Cycle Surgery wanted to see your favourite and longest serving bit of cycling gear, this #mycyclingweekend we're looking at the new editions to your bike armoury.

As we're sure you're aware, this Friday was Black Friday. With cycling deals as abundant as they were across the endless pages of the internet, we're sure there are a fair few of you looking forward to a delivery or two next week.

Last week's selection of old bits of cycling gear was great. We saw some road.cc team member's old faithful gear, along with a load of yours. You can check out our favourite bits below - as well as last week's #mycyclingweekend winner, but first: this week's prize.

To win this week's prize all you have to do is show us what tempted you this Black Friday and why you needed it.  Of course, you'll also have to remember to attach the correct hasthags - that's the #mycyclingweekend hashtag and the #CycleSurgery hashtags - without those you won't stand a chance of winning. Sorry.

But, looking back on last weeks #mycyclingweekend, we saw old mitts, beloved old bikes, ancient computers, and some saddle bags that had seen better days.

And that was just the road.cc lot.

Last week's winner, though, was Instagram user Peakcentral whose Cannondale Team Issue Jacket is in incredible condition. We wouldn't know it was as old as it was, if it wasn't showing its age stylistically.

We'd still wear it.

Favorite Cannondale Team Issue jacket from 1990. Still brilliant! #mycyclingweekend #cyclesurgery

Anyway, though, here are the rest of the road.cc old kit photos.

We're looking forward to seeing your replacements this #mycyclingweekend!

More old kit #mycyclingweekend action, this time from Jo Burt. Here's his old Specialized Crux cyclo-cross. Starting like as a test bike that didn’t want to go back, the Crux has been gently upgraded over time and then lent to a friend of Jo's for over a year so he could do a few ‘cross races on. It came back this week. Jo gave it a bit of love, attached some mudguards and checked everything was working, and off he went. "I forgot what fun this bike was," Jo said. "A proper race cyclo-cross bike, 10 speeds, cantilevers, slippery, not a baggy pro-commuter bike, not a rugged adventure bike, but proper hang on and laugh in-between the screams fast." *Makes Spitfire noises* Jo said he didn't realise how much he'd missed the Crux, and said he'd be treating it to some new bar-tape.
