14 bikes with a combined value of tens of thousands of pounds have been stolen from a bike shop in Huddersfield.
In a post on Facebook, staff at the Manchester Road shop Earnshaws asked people to keep an eye out for the stolen bikes, pictures of which were included in the post, being sold for unusually low prices on any platform.
They also asked fellow shops to be vigilant, saying: “If you have any unusual request for 9+ electric bike chargers by unknown customers if you could again contact us or the police.”
The burglary happened at around 11pm on the evening of last Thursday, 2 November.
Many of the bicycles stolen – which included several from the Scott brand – were e-bikes.
Other brands whose bikes were taken included Lapierre, Orange, Diamondback and Moustache, with a Samedi Race 8 from the latter, which retails at £5,299, among the thieves’ haul.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Earnshaws on 01484 421232 or West Yorkshire Police.
In an appeal, officers said they “are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information as to where the bikes may now be, or anyone who has any information as to the identity of the suspects.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call Kirklees District CID via 101.”
