Over the past year, Ritchey has been celebrating its 50th anniversary, with new logos and colourways for its popular steel bikes. Today, the brand has launched a 50th Anniversary Edition of its famed gravel bike, the Outback.

Late last year we saw Ritchey launch the special edition Swiss Cross, and now the American brand has released its best-selling Outback with a fresh limited edition colourway. This edition is coated in Half Moon Blue, featuring a gentle fade from a lighter blue to a navy.
The celebration doesn’t just feature a lick of paint however, as the bike is adorned with a range of special Ritchey logos that reference the company’s history and the influence that Palo Alta has had on Tom Ritchey himself.
With its limited edition colour, the Outback comes with everything we know and love, having last been updated in 2020. This update graced the frame with more tyre clearance and a handful of mounts.
As expected of the Outback, it’s built around a heat-treated, triple-butted Ritchey Logic steel tubed frame with 142mm spacing. There’s then a stainless steel mech hanger and a 27.2mm seat tube with an integrated seat collar. This bike comes with Ritchey’s Carbon Adventure Fork that’s complete with rack and fender mounts, and on the subject of mounts, there are three bottle mounts inside of the frame.
The Outback can accommodate 700x48mm gravel tyres, or 650×2.0in wheel and tyre combo and there are five frame sizes available.
The limited edition, 50th Anniversary Edition Outback can be picked up for 1,700€ (£1,500) from certified Ritchey assemblers.
