Avinox, the brand behind one of the most powerful e-bike drive systems on the market, has launched its first accessory: a featherweight front light. With a maximum of 1,200 lumens, the new light is powered using high-density LEDs and costs £189 for the front light and installation kit combination.

Front lights aren’t generally that exciting a product to warrant a news story, but when one of the world’s biggest e-bike motor brands launches its first accessory, it’s worth taking note. The new Avinox Front Light is a compact option for those wanting a decent beam for road and off-road riding.
According to Avinox, the brand has worked with Amflow to offer the new light to the brand’s riders, and weight was a big part of the development of the new light.
“Weight is one of the biggest considerations for e-bike accessories,” adds Product Experience Director, Ferdinand Wolf. “And we believe riders will be very impressed by how light our front light is. We are honored to partner with Amflow to bring this to market, and look forward to growing the Avinox product line further.”
At just 105g, it’s almost 80g lighter than something like the Exposure Race front light, which is another ‘lightweight’ option. Avinox’s offering is also significantly cheaper, at £189 versus well over £200 (depending on sale pricing).

But, beyond weight, the other big difference is that the Avinox Front Light is designed to work with dual Avinox Wireless Controllers, found on Avinox-powered e-bikes. This allows users to switch between low and high beams depending on their environment and the time of day.
In high beam mode, it offers 1,200 lumens thanks to the high-density LEDs powering it. Avinox says the internal reflective surface of the lamp has been “optimised to evenly distribute the light, ensuring clear visibility even across complex terrain.”
If you want to get your hands on the new light, it’ll be featured on the Amflow PL bike, or you can buy it via the Amflow website. The light features an IP56 waterproofing rating, and the housing is made from magnesium-aluminum. It is available to purchase now as a mounting kit combination.
