Giro d'Italia - Stage 5
Well i took 20 penalty points to try and make up some ground for todays stage. I then looked at the profile and there's a bloody hill at the end 
So much for it being flat. Hopefully the sprint boys will manage it ok.
Cant believe 4 stages gone and i'm so far behind !

Yup. Apparently average speeds are around 11 - 13 mph in inner London, about 20mph in outer London.

4 separate crashes in the last 2k all on the same bend, that was exciting, feel sorry for the poor feels who didn't get up, he looked like he was in agony
When can we pick teams for California? I've had enough of the Giro (fantasy-wise).

1st and 9th so far - by the looks of things that'll be above average!
Forgot about California what with all this Giro nonsense. Last year I almost didn't bother with it, but fluked a really good score on the first stage and ended up really getting into it. As I recall the TV coverage and website were both pretty good, and it was nice to watch live cycling in the evening. So time to start looking at profiles...
Don't forget they have a really good app aswell which has all the climb cats etc
It would make me feel slightly better about doing badly if I was doing the least badly. Took Henao out last night for some reason that must have seemed to make sense at the time.

I agree so much for being flat ....
what an amazingly bad giro we all appear to be having...nothing seems to be going the way it should!
Scores are updating, I'm missing one solitary point for the last person over the line on the last sprint so if I ever find that I'll update the scores later.
The rest though seems ok.
24pts...Very Poor....particularly disappointed(as always)with Goss.
How I ever justify picking him at 30+ credits is one of the great mysteries of the modern age(along with JD's interview accent!!).
At this rate the confident claims of 10,000pts before Giro's end are looking a bit dodgy.
Just a heads up, updating the scores to include the full points from the last sprint yesterday.
For info, the only change is +1 points for Viviani.
