this is a quote from Chris Akrigg's website:
"I’d never rode a fixie before and after the first ride i wasn’t to bothered if i did again. But i must admit i really got into it, i think mainly because its just so hard especially when you try to ride anything other than flat ground"
What gets me is that he doesn't have any toe straps either. If you have ridden a fixie, you will know how hard this is. When I looked further into what Chris has been doing on a bike I found that he is doing aggressive trials riding 'brakeless'! With a freewheel!
Another bike! The boss would only allow it if it was free......
Well, I'm going to be practising some of those moves myself, tomorrow, on my brand new Koney....I think NOT!
ha he rode across the horse! love it.
… and Craig MacLean, Jamie Staff + a bunch of others too. I'm pretty sure the entire GB sprint team a few years back were ex-BMXers
Bear in mind that Chris Hoy cut his racing teeth becoming a Scottish champion BMX rider, before he switched to the smoother art of riding on track.
This guy has some skill, though I wonder if the wheels were square when he'd finished. I wouldn't let him my bike, even my BMX, that's for sure.
