Two deny causing death of cyclist on Anglesey by dangerous driving

Two men have denied causing the death of Robert Idris Llewellyn by dangerous driving. Llewellyn, known as Bob, was killed on the B5109 at Trefor, near Holyhead on Anglesey, following a collision with a Ford Transit van in April 2016.

The Daily Post reports that Tomos Rhys Wheldon Williams, 32, and Kevin Graham Woods, 62, have been charged with causing Llewelyn’s by dangerous driving and appeared before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court yesterday.

Williams was said to have been driving a Ford Transit prior to the incident, while Woods was said to have been driving a Skoda Octavia.

The two men were told that they will stand trial in late November.

Keen cyclist Llewellyn was described by his family as having been an inspiration to many people. He had spent his 70th Birthday cycling up the Sa Calobra climb on Mallorca with his son, Owain.
