RIP. I hate the A32, try to avoid it as much as possible. Busy, quick and cars just don't give a **** along there.
This road is actually not really heavy traffic but cars fly down it generally. I tend to avoid it and use a different route. RIP
We don't yet know what happened, so let's not jump to any conclusions about near passes and not seeing, shall we? It is at least conceivable that this was not the driver's fault.
So sad That's on my long route home from Fareham in all but the worst weather, no indication of north or southbound though.
There is no reason IMHO why a cyclist woud not be seen in either direction given the time of day but close passes are all too common. In various route finding apps the road is desribed as "hostile"
It was southbound; the collision occurred at the top of the hill shortly after the lanes merge.
