Video: Peter Sagan rides Rio Olympic road race course

World champ broke journey home from Argentina to check out August's course...

World champion Peter Sagan broke his journey back from last week's Tour de San Luis in Argentina to preview the course of August's Olympic road race in Rio, with his Tinkoff team posting footage of his ride to Facebook.

Sagan was joined by three of his Tinkoff team mates, the Polish riders Rafał Majka, Maciej Bodnar and Paweł Poljański, as well as guests from Specialized Bicycles in Brazil.

With temperatures in the 30s, it was a sweltering day in the saddle - it should be slightly cooler come August - but with none of the strong winds that buffeted Sagan and fellow riders on a climb on the Tour de San Luis at the weekend.
