Video: Shimano goes behind the scenes at Milan-San Remo with race winner, John Degenkolb

Cameras follow Giant-Alpecin rider as he takes biggest win of his career

Shimano Race TV had cameras following Giant-Alpecin sprinter John Degenkolb before, during and after Sunday’s race, which saw the German take the biggest win of his career as he beat defending champion Alexander Kristoff of Katusha to the finish line.

The components giant may no longer be a title sponsor of the team but still kits out its bikes, and in this video, Degenkolb talks about the race, including why he considers it to have more of a ‘female’ identity than the northern Classics, while camera are also there at the finish to join in the celebrations after his victory.
