Berlin Bike Show launches limited edition version of Schindelhauer Thinbike

Space saving urban bike comes in a run of just 25

Berliner Fahrradschau – Berlin Bike Show to most of us – has launched a limited edition Thinbike with German urban brand Schindelhauer Bikes

Thinbike is an existing model in Schindelhauer's range, but this limited edition has a polar white finish, Berliner Fahrradschau (BFS) graphics, Voroop front rack and a wall mount for use at home. Only 25 have been made.

The Thinbike comes with a Gates carbon Drive system rather than a chain, a two-gear hub, a taillight integrated into the seatpost, and a Supernova E3 Pure 3 dynamo front light.

It earns the Thinbike name courtesy of pedals that fold up and a handlebar that can be quickly turned to sit parallel to the frame while the front wheel remains straight; features that have been found on many other bikes over the years. The idea is that the bike takes up very little storage room. It can easily be hung on a wall, for example, to free-up floor space in a small house or flat.

The standard Thinbike is priced €1,195. The limited edition model is €1,500. If you're interested in one of these you need to email info@schindelhauerbikes.de.

Berliner Fahrradschau – the Berlin Bike Show – runs 20-22 March 2015. It features big brands like Canyon, Specialized, Cannondale, Giant, Felt, Colnago, Cinelli and Brooks England, plus many urban and fixed gear brands like Schindelhauer Bikes, 8bar and Retrovelo.
