I run two sets of wheels for my Basso.
I have identical cassettes installed, and I *thought* the wheels were identical and from the same manufacturer – but alas not.

As a result, the cassette is in a slightly different position on each wheel, which led to slight misalignment in the centre of the cassette and being unable to get in to the dinner plate gear when using the road wheels.

This has been overcome somewhat by my LBS [I have neither tools, knowledge or time], and now I only have to adjust the cable tensioner at the mech when I change wheels. An alignment mark ensures that I get it right each time.

Rotor thickness can be a bit of a problem – but one that’s easily resolved.
The gravel rotors tend to score more easily – which is hardly surprising due to the abrasive nature of gravel – I don’t *think* I’ve noticed any issues. I always use brake cleaner on Changes to help reduce grit contamination.

    Are you riding in cleats?
    Are you riding in cleats?
Have they moved … even fractionally?

Might be worth checking your cleat alignment, just in case one of them has moved.

I’d been having similar issues, and it turned out that one of my cleats had somehow slightly changed alignment, and it was causing a change in the rotation of my knee.

Check your cleats, maybe try your LBS for an alignment check, then speak to a physio.

    Sorry for the confusion…

    Having cameras will make it
Having cameras will make it easier for you to provide evidence [although don’t be surprised if it gets ignored].

If you are getting close passes from commercial vehicles such as HGV, busses and coaches, upload the clip to YouTube [but keep it as Private – need to have a link to view], and send the link to the company transport manager. If they only have an online contact page, don’t send the link, and mark it as ‘complaint: for the attention of the Transport Manager.
Make sure your complaint lists the offenses [preferable to note legislation and index (Road Traffic Act, section 1.2.3 for example)] and keep clear and precise.
Make sure you copy yourself/ screen capture the contact form.

Print to PDF all communication between yourself and the company.

If you get no resolution, send it all to the Traffic Commissioner for your area, as they issue Operators Licence and the firm must have a robust complaint resolution process in place.
If there are enough complaints about a vehicle or company, the TC may not renew the licence.

You can do this in parallel with reporting to your local police force for them to ignore.

    Decent quality.
    Good battery life.

Ahh … the good old 2 out of three triangle.

You’re probably best off checking places like Cash Converters or CEX for second hand GoPro units and using them.

They have a wide range of mounting options and a full watertight enclosure.
Charge while your at work from a USB powerbank [if no mains USB alternative exists]

Personally, cant beat a Cycliq Fly12Ce or Sport on the front, and a Fly6 Gen 2 on the back.
But then, I’ve always used Cycliq and have never found a decent replacement.

While im riding, my phone is
While im riding, my phone is linked to my Garmin, and the head unit tells me the name of the caller (if its in my address book), anyone other than my wife and kids gets ignored.
If its important, they’ll either ring straight back [which depending on the name depends on of they get an answer] or leave a voicemail.

My hearing aids are Bluetooth and I can accept calls and use them as handsfree if I wish.
    I tend not to wish….

If I’m driving, the phone gets ignored.

I’m still of the ancient mindset that the phone is for the convince of the receiver and not the caller.

The sound of appalling driving gets louder, while the Police continue to be deaf to the pleas of those they are supposed to protect.

Yes … the mirrors thing was me.

Don’t forget though, you don’t just need to look behind when reversing… every time to change direction or pull off from a kerb/junction you should look behind. [With trucks, you should check behind at every change of speed too]

Where did I say that I found
Where did I say that I found their comments acceptable?

I wasn’t there, I only have your word on what happened.

“Move Over” *could* have been defended as a shout from with in the group to another group member.

It is ambiguous as a shout.

“Push him over” – harder to defend … but without proof of video / audio, it’s your word against their’s – and you are out numbered by x to 1. Not right, but that’s the way it goes.

Do I agree that some club riding is appalling? Yes. Even in the club I belong to, faster groups can overtake slower groups [of the same club] like dicks.

Did something happen? … I’ve only your word on it, and tbh, your just a stranger on the Internet and I don’t know *you* – just like you don’t know *me*.
You feel strongly enough that something *did* happen as you’ve opened a thread on here, emailed the club and posted their responses.

I suggested that by using better language it would have been harder for the club to defend. I’ve also said what language would have expected from the club riders.

I wish you well in your pursuit of this and suggest that in future you consider writing your complaint letters based on the assumption that the respondent wasn’t there.

You may also choose to purchase a video camera to support your claims in the future.

    Good luck, and happy riding.
