Last I read it was due to launch in autumn 2025…
    Has it been cancelled?

Yes, they loved that dodge! Insisting on minutes of video AND that it had to fit inside an email, which limited file size to 25MB, so they could claim the video wasn’t good enough. Almost as useful to them as the 14 Day Dodge, which allows them to be always too busy to respond in time

    Can a Scotland resident with
Can a Scotland resident with a camera enlighten us on this, and on the current state of the ‘I can’t remember the incident’ Get-Off Dodge? In any case, don’t get your hopes up too much: Lancashire has had the OpSnap portal for years, but that doesn’t stop them binning all cases involving reports by cyclists. What I have learned is that individual forces can’t ban submissions to the national OpSnap portal (which then seems to send them out to individual forces) from people they don’t like (people with FHD quality evidence of offences committed by drivers- which they definitely don’t want to know about), or Lancashire would have barred me by now- just like they blocked my email address when I was getting too close for comfort.

    My understanding/experience:

My understanding/experience: the dedicated dashcam portal was scrapped. There has been some movement on a digital evidence website – as in there is now a website where you can upload files, but still only after arranging a police officer to attend in person to take a statement. So basically exactly the same as before, except now you can upload the file to a website rather than emailing the file to the attending officer’s email address.

No idea about the “can’t remember” dodge – as far as I can tell, that never had any basis in law and doesn’t form any kind of precedent. It was just one dodgy decision by one dodgy judge (or Sheriff or whatever).

Nah, they missed a digit off
Nah, they missed a digit off due to a typo.
    Should have been 20250.
