Yesterday on the other thread you said you’d fixed it by reinstalling Garmin Express:
https://road.cc/content/forum/garmin-gremlins-293335
And that it wouldn’t connect to Windows either.
Just mentioning before you spend £300+ on a replacement head unit when the issue may lie elsewhere. Of course if you just want a new head unit, carry on…

It didn’t connect to a Windows OS though either, is there a device option to select mass storage mode for USB on the Edge itself?

Fulcrum (Campag) UK
Fulcrum (Campag) UK distributor is I-Ride, and they have this:
Might be worth getting in touch to see if this is compatible with 800s, even if not in stock.
If it is compatible, seems to be available here:https://www.lordgunbicycles.co.uk/fulcrum-kitfcraqr-hh12qr-rear-hub-adapter
Lordgun ship from Europe so VAT may be due on arrival.

Adapters are easy for the front wheel as both TA & QR are 100mm dropout. Rears typically could be 130mm (rim QR), 135mm (disc QR), 142mm (disc TA) and others. Therefore the rear dropout width has to get narrower for QR. Depending on the wheels, the manufacturer may supply suitable replacement endcaps, for example the Mason x Hunt 4 Seasons I run 2 sets of on my winter road and gravel bikes can be switched over in minutes by replacing hub caps. If your wheel manufacturer doesn’t do this, I can’t see a cost effective way of converting without changing the hub.

It was OK for me, I had a 0600 wave time/0640 start time, ended up getting away at 0620. I suspect a few earlier riders delayed their start to avoid catching the safety car, which let others go early, but then compounded into the later starts.

Di2 only broadcasts on ANT+ via a private channel, as the D-Fly units predate the open standard ANT+ shifting protocol that Campagnolo and SRAM adopted after that became a standard. So no Bluetooth and Shimano presumably have no intention of moving away from their proprietary protocol.
It doesn’t affect me as a Garmin Edge user, but it bothers me that Shimano could one day see Garmin as a competitor (power meters) and switch the same functionality off.
Wahoo could be in the same boat now they’ve acquired Speedplay.

Certain SPD pedals can be temporarily converted to flat pedals, depending on how much you want to ride in flat shoes, probably OK for infrequent use:

Contact r3pro themselves https://www.r3pro.co.uk/ appears to be run by somebody called Phil who makes a multitude of stuff using 3D printing, ideal for low volume. They sell a lot of other disc brake caliper/piston accessories so they may be open to a Shimano piston block.

Agree with above, if it suits
Agree with above, if it suits your needs now at the price you like, that won’t change when a new model ships, and to add to that, historically the flagship model of a particular generation comes out first (i.e. 1030 before 530/830), and there’s no visibility of anything in a new x40 range. In terms of the “plus” models, when the 1030 Plus shipped, the 1030 got most of the non-hardware features (except the licenced Trailforks maps) by way of a firmware update. So it’s likely if/when a 530 Plus comes out, the 530 may possibly get some of that functionality too within a month or two.
Having said that, Garmin, like many companies, have had their product roadmap affected by the pandemic, and I would say that the current global chip shortage is continuing to have an effect so previous release cycles possibly not a guide to future events – Garmin will ship what they can make with the supply chain they have.
