Specialized saddle fitment involves measuring the sit bone width to ensure that the correct width is chosen.
A key component of a proper Bike Fit IMHO.
Quite simple to do with high density foam that will retain your sit bone imprint for a little while after you sit on it.
That one measurement and a well designed saddle ensure that I’ve never had issues out to 5 hour rides..

    Long overdue that pavement
Long overdue that pavement parking was a statutory offence that Local Authorities enforce, so driver stupidity becomes public finance revenue.

Clearly the Hierarchy of Responsibility is too hard to understand as applicable to stationary private property that puts vulnerable road users in danger.

IC confirmation bias at it’s finest, and not the facts of the matter IMHO.

This exemption is engaged therefore as it satisfies the following two conditions:

    1. To confirm whether or not the information is held would reveal the personal data of a data subject as defined by Article 4 (1) of GDPR and Part 1 Section (3)(2) of the Data Protection Act 2018.

The vehicle registration plate is not personal data of the subject since only DVLA can reference that to a Registered Keeper for Police purposes, thus failing the ‘public’ test.

So I concur that they are attempting to BS you with this response…

At the risk of Horse Bolted comments, you did have it registered and will report theft to the police, won’t you…

It’s not unknown for them to find stolen bikes, even though unlikely, so your bike data matters.

Lisa Townsend very much views her police role through a political lens.

For herself, she is fairly transparently quite ignorant.

.”I know it’s not great but it would never be a political priority for me to give cyclists better infrastructure, particularly when they don’t contribute in vehicle taxes.”

As any fule kno, public Highways are funded by Income Taxes paid by everyone and Vehicle Excise Duty is a nudge based on vehicle emissions, which for bicycles are zero.

The ignorance is strong with this one..

PCCs are an attempt to provide Legitimacy by connecting an elected representative to the oversight of Policing. Thus voter surveys to sample priorities and direct the Chief Constable accordingly.

    Click bait title, but that’s
Click bait title, but that’s your freedom of speech, I suppose.

The far right is the Project 2025 of US MAGA Republicans who plan to make a fascist dictatorship for #45 who will be a dictator, revoke the Constitution, remove power from the Legislature and Judiciary to concentrate power in the Executive in other words, him. He has no interest in citizens rights or freedom.

“I don’t care about you, I just want your vote.” Donald Trump 6/9/24

Whilst one may disagree with NF, there’s no suggestion that freedom of speech is at risk in the UK like it is in USA.

“UK’s lurch towards fascism” is not accurate. Conservatives split into Lib Dems and Reform is more accurate. Lib Dems got the most seats and Reform the least, so a net move left.

Though I can’t prove this, I suspect that the FSB is working hard to undermine democracy in all sovereign nations who oppose the terrorist state and its illegal war in Ukraine. Isolationist attitudes undermine the alliances that support peace and prosperity so that the terrorist state can be held accountable.

Di2 Ultegra a thing of beauty
Di2 Ultegra a thing of beauty and relentless function. Also reduced wear on the mechs as always in the optimal position.
Yes, you have to charge it, but no more difficult than lights, satnav, camera and sensors already in use. LiPo battery holds charge for a long time and does many hours/shifts before needing the charge.
Battery state shown on head unit so easy to tell when.
More reliable than mechanical shifts as no adjustment over time required..

Motorcycling has changed a lot from being a cheap form of transport open to anyone into a high technology product mainly sold to middle aged men, excepting the delivery riders. Young people can afford cars so get pushed there by parental angst and conformity.
Electric scooters seem to fill the cheap transport niche of 50cc mopeds of old.

    The product of mainstream
The product of mainstream media click bait i.e. hate speech to identify an out group now that the law prevents their public disrespect and hatred of protected characteristics.

So they can’t indulge their confirmation bias against your skin colour, race, sexuality, gender but heaven help you for the wrong choice of transport!

No, they haven’t connected this to national success at Olympic level as thinking is a bit of an unwelcome imposition…

Anti-cycling bingo is a badge of ignorance, worn by the MSM and their audience.

Imagine not knowing how your tax is spent and why vehicle excise duty costs more for unsustainable vehicles…

nor should they be hung from any street furniture including lamp columns or trees.”
