If the square taper has a hole all of the way through, a wheel qr can be put though and tightened to keep the removal tool square when giving it some wellie, to avoid destroying the splines on the cup when it slips, as it will when giving it the said wellie.

    Pretty much everything

Pretty much everything presents a hazard to us, slight crack in the road, small animals, little stick at slightly too acute angles.  And absolutely EVERYTHING  bigger than us that moves, and quite a few things just a little bit smaller than us.  I would fail from identifying absolutely everything…

My shockingly low pressure 3inch tyres mean I have to worry less about the tiny stuff these days, but she behave very weirdly on odd slopes in the road, like those dips caused by buses around bus stops.

I did get some ACF50 for putting on my nokon cable outers, they rot in our conditions, it’s meant to be grreat on the corrosion and preventing more.  But it is quite oily and I’m guessing the tape would slip.

A good rub down with a slight abrasive, a good polish with a cream, which would be very mildly abrasive too, and a spray with some top coat lacquer maybe…

Chainrings only really needs to be thought about when pointy, and never really desperately need it until they resemble sharks fins.

My tip is to grease (or weird carbon thing if you are so inclined) the seatpost.  Was often the last of my attempts to remove weird clicks, but it is now one of the first things I do.

And it stops it from seizing in there.

And there is often meant to be float on your lower jockey wheel.  Only the ones with sealed bearings don’t.

    Driving whilst disqualified

Driving whilst disqualified is viewed far too leniently.  A small fine with just an extension of the ban.  The fact that they are insured as well…

Removal of the motor vehicle from the offender should be a given, maybe with destruction.  And if it belongs to someone else, then that would be Taking Without Consent, so a theft charge.

Blimey, the comments get very racist.

But getting back to the hinderance to emergency services, I thought it was cyclists, cyclist infrastructure and LTNs that stopped them on “shouts”

Could never be the “otherwise” law abiding motorists…

    When there were no seaetbelts

When there were no seaetbelts and the steering wheel could decapetate the driver, drivers didn’t drive that more carefully, they just killed themselves and other drivers in huge numbers.

Admittedly the power was a lot less then, but brakes, tyres and steering are a lot better these days.

Far more drink driving back then too.

The big spike might make them drive with care for a few weeks, but then…

    POWER!

Ploughed into a building, at last, some realistic language.

Though of course it was the car that did it, nothing about the driver.

Slow down a bit Andy, don’t be so impatient, use those big glass windows that you are surrounded by, maybe concentrate on what you are doing.

I’m guessing that putting a car on it’s roof (or the vehicle doing it all by itself) takes a bit of doing, travelling at less than 20mph in a 20 zone…
