Depends on the road, traffic, volumes, pedestrians and other hazards.
No way do I want someone on my wheel on the way to work. I may have to brake suddenly, then what will the rider behind do?
Had a go at someone before for doing this with out even asking. They still did it later in the month and never attempted to take a turn.Hirsute

About 0m. How far before a speed limit change should the authorities just say, “Yeah, fine, whatever…”?

I see someone asked on the newspaper site if his job was in septic tanks.brooksby wrote:You mean this one: ?Sadly, real life can overtake satire.
(The tank was protesting about residents parking zones in Bristol by driving around the city centre and (presumably) ruining the road surface…).
btw how did you get that image in there?
I can see you can upload a file and create a link, but even when I do a quote of the post, there is no clue in it as to embedding of an image.

“And furthermore, if the two-wheeled criminals stuck to their designated piece of tarmac, instead of breaching onto the motorist-funded roads network, this traffic problem you mention would be non-existent.”
Now it is brooksby and HP or this lady who are atypical of bristol residents?I suggest the lady’s husband take them to school in his tank – I’m sure he would get throught the traffic easily.

When I had a real problem
When I had a real problem with my knee, I was able to use a rowing machine which I could do with just my arms. It may be that you need a specific type of machine that allows you to do this (although mine was a fairly cheap one which used air resistance).
Swimming is good, but my physio advised me not to do any breast stroke, so you need to make sure your strokes don’t use your legs or get really good advice on what strokes your knees can cope with.
Finding a good physio is important as they can give your the right exercises and identify any structural issues. In my case, one set of muscles was weaker than another which had the effect of pulling my knee cap into slightly the wrong place, so I had specific exercises to improve the weak muscles.
This is probably going to be a medium term thing, so it might be many months before you see a real improvement.
