I actually heard back to be told there is a new trial where you put in the reference and see the decision.
This will be a simple status and no details of why will be available.

A&S responses are very poor now. In the past when you upload/report an incident you get a reference number then usually a week later a follow up email saying we are going to send a NIP letter to the owner/driver as the drivng fell below an acceptable standard.

Now you get an email for uploading footage and that’s it, no further detaIl of what action is being taken against the driver of the vehicle involved because  giving out updates to witness would not be operating in accordance with the GDPR and DPA guidance.

Not entirely convinced about gdpr. There is no direct connection between the vehicle and the driver at the time; no personal details have been identified or shared.
The email back does not mention any gdpr constraints.

I must have jumped on the tubeless train at the right point.

I have some mavics which I can almost fit the tyre on by hand. I can inflate with a track pump and easily top up with a hand pump. I don’t need special glue or tape for the side rim.

I have bought a dynaplug micro pro which is a thing of beauty (which I have used once).

    I’m quite happy.

We don’t know what would happen if reported, maybe he’ll just get an awareness course or no further action.

One tricky aspect of waiting to hear from him is the Police requirement for footage. In Essex, you only have 48 hours, so you have to make a quick decision over what you will do.

I wouldn’t report him. For me, I don’t want to live in a society where all wrongs recorded on helmet cams are reported.
Nor do I which I why I am selective about what I report. However, as driving instructor with a higher level qualification to drive, he should not be doing this and if that is his attitude, what does he teach his pupils ?

    eg https://road.cc/content/news/263128-near-miss-day-286-driving-instructor-and-student-edition

but ultimately, no harm was done.
You mean in the instant that the instructor was observed and 100m, 1000m further on?

Sorry, but judging by the outcome is irrelevant to negligent/reckless actions.

    Are you doing that thing
Are you doing that thing where you push the tyre with your hands from either side of a spot around the bit which is on the rim, along the circumference.? This should slowly push more of the tyre on the rim as you repeat this. Might take a few repeats.

We have a super fast connection at work and it is still slow even with various script s blocked.
I assume the site is “daisy chained” in some fashion and the sites/servers it relies on have a very slow link somewhere.

Tubeless can be run at lower pressures and the link claims it is very hard to come off.

I’d be interested to find the total weight the wheels are designed for.
