I have a slightly biased team towards la pell de brau 😉

Also, on the Cav subject, even if he could get all the way round the course and do the 10 laps…..He’s still got to finish up the Cauberg. 1.5km with a maximum gradient of 12%. The finish is only about a mile from there. NOT going to happen for him 😉

OK – Understand what you mean – as you rightly point out, I’m not simple enough to believe that a single petition will cause Pat McQuaid to quit but I do think it can help demonstrate the climate of opinion.

If I’m the delegate on the UCI from British Cycling or the head of a Protour team and I know that thousands of cycling fans (my customers effectively or at least the customers of my sponsors/financial backers) want change then I’ll be in a much safer position if I demand institutional reform. Even Kings and dictators depend, in the end, on public opinion – once it begins to move, it can be an unstoppable force.

So whilst I don’t imagine for a second that a single signature or even a petition of thousands can create change directly, it can help create a climate where change becomes unstoppable.

I still don’t think you quite get it. The UCI is the WORLD governing body for sports cycling.

So as the WORLD population is over 7 billion now. Lets just take the 500 from the petition and stick it onto the population of the world.

7,000,000,500……..NOW, do you still think that 500 signatures are going to make ANY difference to anyone in WORLD cycling??

I watched most of it on
I watched most of it on Eurosport while the F1 was on and then the highlights of the rest of the races on BBC1.

Interesting to note that Tony Martin was spinning a 58/11 in the TT. I used to spin a 65/80 chainrings on a recumbent, but thats a totally different thing to a road bike.

I don’t think he’s injured. But Contador, Valverde, SS, Freire and J-Rod are there. Do the Spanish need another leader/contender?

To many cooks spoil the broth and all that 😉

Cav won’t be at the front with 50km to go, Expect to see him dropped with around 75km to go 😉

Climb 5, its not hugely steep overall, but there are hard parts and its a 3km climb……Cav will be done for

No problem. Now that I have it laid out, Its easy to update.

I do have another HUGE list for Continental teams, but very few transfers. So no point in putting it up at this time, as it would just look like a list of teams.
