Well my team is fecked. I took Contador out lastnight. Kept Gilbert in.

I trusted the start list that was up last night and ended up with Rolland……Why didn’t I not even see Europcar were not riding this one? and I picked a non riding cheap DS to fit the rest of my team X(

Pointless when the startlist is only updated on the morning of the race……………

    Philippe Gilbert
    Pierre Rolland
    Joaquin Rodriguez
    Giovanni Visconti
    Mauro Santambrogio
    Domenico Pozzovivo
    Mikel Landa
    Nathan Brown

Folks. If you want a certain rider and he’s not there. Choose the drop down called FILTER and set it to ALL RIDERS.

Then head to the FIND and put it the riders name.

If he’s on the official start list and starts tomorrow. Don’t worry about him being greyed out. You will score points if he does.

    From what I understand,
From what I understand, Dancelli frames were made by Colnago after Michele Dancelli won the 1970 Milan – San Remo on a Colnago.

So they were Colnago frames stickered up as Dancelli’s, A bit like Trek did with Lemond frames.

Later on Dancelli put his name to a Billato frame i believe.

You got any pictures? Any stickers on the frame with tubing and model numbers?

The misconception about Dancelli being involved with Merckx bikes seems to come about from them being on the same team in the 70’s. In 71 Colnago put together a frame for Merckx that he used to win Milan-San Remo and it had his name on the down tube. One of, if not the first custom named cycle in the pro peleton 😕

The Dancelli bikes are named for Michelli Dancelli, a professional racer from the late ’60’s and early ’70’s. He rode for the Salvarini and Molteni teams. At Molteni he was a road captain for Eddy Merckx. His most famous win was the Milan-San Remo while at Molteni. At the time the team was riding bikes made by Colnago. The Dancelli family crest had a clover leaf on it, before Dancelli’s win in the Milan-San Remo Colnago did not have a “brand”, in honour of Dancelli’s win at San Remo Ernesto Colnago adopted the clover leaf to represent Colnago and that is still used to this day

Its my understanding aswell that JTL has signed for Saxo. But as Saxo as not naming any signing till the end of the calender, we’ll have to wait and see

If I’d gone with my Gilbert team I would have had there

    2,3,5,9,11,17,15 + Gilbert and J-Rod who weren’t racing X(

But I had to change my mind instead of just swapping them out :”(

Very interesting. Not because of Millar’s part as i’ve heard that many times. But interesting for his sister Fran’s side of it.

Most of the time I didn’t understand Vaughters until the end when he spoke in English about his respect for Millar.

Another interesting bit was Vande Velde’s, When it was easy for him not to dope because he was working for others and wasn’t winning. (8.11 minutes)
