Unless its a top notch bike – and if it is – she’d surely have taken it with her when she flew- just buy one out there.

I can’t imagine moving country without my bike !

Rim Brakes are so easy to

Rim Brakes are so easy to work with.

Disc Brakes seem to need a degree in the dark arts to understand.

Valverde won his rainbow bands on a bike with rim brakes – and he had the choice.

I genuinely think its 80% marketing and 20% innovation.  I’m perfectly happy with rim brakes – but if you want discs – go for it.

They’re either tubular or standard rims I think ?

    So not tubeless ?

Shocking. There are some awful people out there.

It seems dedicated bike paths are needed all over the place.

They’ll consider it – realise it’s bobbins and do other more productive things.

In the past the car was

In the past the car was fantastic.  Clean and dry and not too much traffic – so you could happily use it going into town.

But now car ownership is much more prevalent – its no longer easy to drive into town, but people haven’t twigged this yet.

Manufacturers sell you cars on the basis of scenic open roads. Not traffic jams.

It’s going to take a while for people to work this out.

    Can’t say I’ve ever been

Can’t say I’ve ever been surprised by an electric car – as has been said – its the road noise more than the engine noise.

I was surprised by the shadow of a double decker bus looming over me before I’d heard it.

I think it was a combination of low sun, a hill and a headwind drowning out its engine.

I once had to hide behind a tree as a horse was so spooked by my classy red white and blue jersey.

God knows what he saw it as – but he wasn’t coming past for anything.

    I don’t think they’re the brightest creatures.

    I’d get something with rim

I’d get something with rim brakes.

Considering the industry is telling us we all need discs – the Podium in the mens RR were all still on rim brakes.

That’ll solve your issue of rubbing discs anyway.

Great comments there – only the one or two saying it’s picking on motorists.

Maybe the tide is turning ?  Even drivers see other drivers on the phone – it’s never a good idea.
