Sean Yates used to use a short neoprene wetsuit back in the day but he was very unconventional.Try the spatz kit – you’ll have waterproof lower legs at least.
Any decent waterproof jacket (shakedry probably best over whatever you want) will keep your torso dry and warm.
I’ve never found my thighs getting cold as they’re doing all the work. Lower gears and higher cadence seems to work best.If it is icy though I’m on zwift. I can do without broken bones.

Not always a trike – all of the bike paths round Cheshire seem to have been filmed from a bike :

You have more weight on the back tyre so having a wider one there will be better.I’m now using 25mm on my summer bike as it’s the widest I can go – but when I buy a new bike it’ll be sure to take much wider tyres.
My winter bike is on 32mms and the ride is so much comfier. There are some speed limits
There are some speed limits that are too high around here – and if you don’t know the road – you can’t hit that limit.

There are a lot of bad drivers out there.

That is so crappy. Glad it seems sorted now – but anyone else after a nice Ti bike – go check out Planet X – decent and reliable delivery times from them.

I did see someone the other week wearing his with a backpack. It’s paper thin. I’m sure that would have damaged it even with just the one ride.I have a cheap one –
I have a cheap one – something like this – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultrasonic-Cleaner-Portable-Jewellery-Dentures/dp/B07C1ZCHZM/ref=asc_df_B07C1ZCHZM/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310679391967&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10385973813750526183&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046490&hvtargid=pla-574787842942&psc=1
It’s rubbish. Perhaps the more expensive ones are better but this takes a while and doesn’t achieve much. Better off doing it manually.

WhatsApp lets you share your location for a time that you choose. My wifes job means that she works all over the place so she has a life 360 app that lets you see where she is. Seems to work really well.

All commuting is recorded anyway so I can see what mileage the bike has done.

You need to report this. He chased after you.Maybe drive up the road to see if you can identify the car as you say he likely lives up there.
He may well be known to the police.
