You’ve asked the same on bike
You’ve asked the same on bike radar. Whats the answer you want to hear?Personally they look to be in a state to me and I’d replace them with new alu ones that I would trust.

Seriously ?
Seriously ?
Sounds like it wasn’t even hitting the brake blocks ? So it’s not a massive buckle.
Get a spoke key.
Watch a couple of youtube vids on truing wheels.
All you need is a spoke key and an upside down bike. You can sort out small buckles in a couple of minutes. Easiest thing in the world.

Post it to one of the Journos
Post it to one of the Journos here – they love stories like that and Video goes down well.
I’m sure they can work out who it goes to.
Good footage – they’re utter c*cks.

Pretty sure you have to have
Pretty sure you have to have fluo signs on the road side to alert drivers to the bike race.
That should alert you.I have taken to riding even in summer with a flashing rear light. And still bad drivers do close passes.

Pedal slower. You’ll only sweat with effort and no helmet is able to prevent sweating.fenix

I’ve never carried a mobile phone and haven’t died yet…
hopefully a phone isn’t the difference between life or death – but mine can pay for coffee. Take snaps. Google for a hard to find cafe. Ring the mate I’m meant to hook up with. Check the map to see where I am. Check the weather forecast. Ring for rescue if something breaks. I could leave it sit home but why would I ?
entirely up to you. We did get by without before they were introduced but it’s all positives and I can’t see any negatives.

I’ll sometimes induce a bit
I’ll sometimes induce a bit of a wiggle into my riding if cars are passing too close.
If if they see you’re a competent rider and riding in a straight line some drivers will pass close.
If you’re a little more erratic then you do get more room. But it’s a bit of a faff.

I’m sorry but crashing a bike
I’m sorry but crashing a bike isn’t normal use. Just like crashing a car isn’t.
It’s unlucky for your mate – and 99 times out of 100 you’d be fine if you have a slight off – but bikes aren’t designed for impacting hard surfaces.
I’m sure it will be able to be repaired though look up @Re_carb on Twitter. I’ve seen them do good jobs.

I’d have thought its more
I’d have thought its more likely to act as a sail and rip the carrier off the car.
I’d really not use a cover unless the bike was welll out of the wind – ie on the back of a mobile home or something and massively secure.

They just want to pass the
They just want to pass the cost of them onto the police or whatever. Their revenue has come down and they want to save money.
I’m not that bothered who pays for them in the end – but it’s bloody ridiculous to have no CCTV in an area such as this. As the report says – it’ll pay for itself anyway.
I bet it won’t get turned off.

I see what you’re saying now.
I see what you’re saying now. When I park at the gym – it’s just a plain old bike stand that you can lock the top tube too.
Weird cos they have these all over the place don’t they ?
fenix
Much easier on the turbo.
Much easier on the turbo. Basically you should be going so hard that you’d be a hazard to yourself and anyone else. If that’s a shared path – then don’t do it there.
There’s no harm in riding after the test – that’s a nice cool down.

Appppparently – this is how
Appppparently – this is how the double decker bike parks work.

Why can’t you mount it on the
Why can’t you mount it on the stem with the rubber O ring ? Zero cost and its not in your way ?

Sorry – never needed to use a rack like that but I’ve seen similar at Euston – no idea how they work.
Is it the top tier ?
