Yup, just think of PP F&F as posting someone an envelope full of cash, except then you could at least know the address you posted it to if it was worth reporting to the police.
Can PayPal even tell you who got the funds? Surely there has to be a bank account on the other end eventually, unless they’re turning around the funds via purchases of gift cards.
On the other hand, if you could claw back funds paid “friends and family” the scam could go the other way. If someone met you to buy a bike you were selling, and you let them pay with PayPal then and there, thinking it was equivalent to cash, they could then file a report later saying they paid you and you never showed up, or something.

I wouldn’t buy a DURA-ACE
I wouldn’t buy a DURA-ACE cassette period. If you’re not racing at a high level, you’re not the target market. The titanium sprockets will wear faster than steel. You’re paying £100 extra to save 60 grams (2 oz) and have to replace it sooner vs. an all-steel sprockets Ultegra cassette.

I got one of those from Bath
I got one of those from Bath when I visited the UK. There was a lot to process (really, driving into Bath at all was probably the wrong decision) and I just didn’t notice it.
It is confusing to visiting drivers from the USA that a sign like that doesn’t have a slash through it. Here’s our sign for no large trucks.

Here’s a new tire pressure
Here’s a new tire pressure calculator based on the experiments Jan Heine has done on real roads.
Here’s an article on the science behind it.

This is a problem? I guess
This is a problem? I guess try adjusting the H limit screw on the front derailleur if it is touching the chain in big-big. Make sure it can’t touch the right crank, though.
Or just don’t use big-big. Or don’t back-pedal if you do.

Rendel Harris wrote:(Unfortunately now got to find someone who ships to UK, neither of those will!)If you’re really in a bind, you can Paypal me and I’ll ship to the UK for my actual cost. I’m in the US and have ordered from Modern Bike before a couple of times. They’re under 300 miles from me (practically next door, here.)

Then a search for ebikemotion
Then a search for ebikemotion x35 tool found a little closer to the UK.

Not sure why it says the manufacturer is Orbea, though.

The SH-56 cleats on a nice set of SPD pedals with the retention dialed down are noob friendly and will unclip in a panic.Nobody needs clipless to go to the shops or work. I somehow manage over 6000 miles a year, including some spirited group rides, and don’t own a single clipless pedal.
Maybe for that last 1% if I was racing, which I’m not.
