Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

I shall be doing physics A

I shall be doing physics A level when I retire, then I will know about these things.

Not sure if you could see the video but the driver needs to be banned for having his tipper in the upright position.

Firstly, the vehicle’s on rubber tyres and secondly, the cab was probably acting as a Faraday cage.

    Ranty Highwayman –

You *really* don’t want to be running into an HVM feature at any real speed as you’re probably not surviving. This appears to be a relatively low speed crash.”

    Southampton drink-driver hid

Southampton drink-driver hid in bushes after fleeing scene of crash

pretty sure we’d have had the original story of this, which happened last November

“Mitigating, Stephen Tricker said Tudorache left the scene with good reason.

He said: “He was surrounded by a number of people and he was concerned for his safety.

“He returned to his home address, which is only a few yards away, and he was not difficult to trace as the car is registered to him.”

    Woman dies after car crashes

Woman dies after car crashes into wall in Thornbury

    https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/woman-dies-after-car-crashes-8443168

Avon and Somerset Police said a Honda Jazz was driving along Rock Street in, towards Midland Way, in Thornbury at around 10.50am when it crashed into a wall after the Streamleaze junction on May 4.

…although the article does then clarify that

… a woman who was a passenger in the car died in hospital on May 10. Meanwhile, a man driving the car was seriously injured and at the time of writing (May 16), he remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Dramatic pictures show the hatchback precariously balancing over the edge with only two wheels touching the ground and a completely crumpled front. The car managed to completely destroy the bridge’s wall before deploying both airbags and then somehow stopping before falling in.

“Both occupants were fine, but the passenger opened the door and fell into the canal.”

When will passengers take some responsibility for their safety and wear lifejackets?
