Santa Cruz’s wheel offshoot, Reserve has redesigned the humble tubeless valve and is claiming that the new Fillmore valve will solve all of our valve clogging and tyre seating woes.

Reserve claims that the Fillmore valve isn’t just a cosmetic uplift but more of a serious performance upgrade to your bike. Rather than a regular Presta valve the Fillmore’s plunger stretches the length of the valve and seals at the very end. The brand claims that this new design delivers three times the airflow of a regular valve, in theory, making tubeless set up much easier.

Fillmore is built with a self-clearing poppet that’s said to eliminate clogging by breaking through sealant build-up. It’s also compatible with tyre inserts.
It also comes with a clever feature for those mid-ride pressure fettlers. If you unthread a Fillmore valve’s cap slightly, it can be pressed down to release air so you can dial in the perfect pressure.

This new design isn’t just to offer high air flow but Reserve says that the new design is great for injecting sealant too, making the task that bit cleaner.
If potentially revolutionary valves sound right up your street, a pair of Reserve’s Fillmore valves will set you back £40 and they come with the brand’s known Life-Time warranty.
