Bombtrack’s Hook range is built for a bit of everything, whether that’s your daily commute or long days ion the saddle. Embodying the spirit of gravel, the Hook lineup offers bikes in almost all frame materials, including steel, carbon and titanium. For 2024, the brand has completely revamped its carbon EXT C model. Here are all of the details.

Like the rest of the bike’s in the Hook range, the EXT C is built for casual bikepacking jaunts, as well as high-octane gravel racing. For 2024, it uses a T800 carbon frame with a T47 BB shell and flat mount 160/180mm caliper mounts. Oh, and it now features a UDH (universal derailleur hanger).

The bike’s new frame is sorted with all of the modcons, including optional internal cable routing and a host of mounting points. It also gets a Seido MGV fork that’s sorted with large tyre clearance, internal cable routing and mounts that run along each fork leg.

Geometry-wise, the Hook EXT C is equipped with a 404mm reach on a large frame. Elsewhere there’s a 70.5-degree head angle and a 74-degree seat tube angle. The chainstay extends from 425mm up to 434mm from the small to large frame size. It can run either 650b or 700c wheels with 57c tyres.

As for componentry, it gets a SRAM Rival 1x groupset comprising a 10-42T cassette and a 38T direct mount chainring that’s joined to Bombtrack’s Lyer crank.

The bike’s cockpit also comes from Seido with the Tackle handlebar that benefits from a 16-degree flare. Finally, there’s a pair of Hunt 4Season Gravel wheels wrapped with 40mm WTB Venture tyres.
