Got a coffee lover and/or cyclist in your life you need Christmas present ideas for? Or fancy treating yourself ahead of the festive season? Well, SPIN x LCF being held in London next weekend may be the answer.
Taking place from Friday 29 November to Sunday 1 December at The Yard on Worship Street in Shoreditch, the event sees the organisers of SPIN – The Urban Cycle Show team up with the people behind the London Coffee Festival.
So far, around 60 coffee and cycling brands have signed up to the event, the former including Union Coffee Roasters, La Marzocco and Make Decent Coffee, while the latter feature names including Brooks, Mosquito, Hill & Ellis, Nuun, Rusby Cycles, 8 Ball Bikes and Death Spray Custom.
World and Paralympic champion Mark Colbourne, who announced his retirement earlier this year, will be at the Alchemy stand at the show on the Sunday, talking about how he overcame a broken back in 2009 to win gold in the Velodrome at London 2012.
According to Alex Daw, director of Spin INTL, “This event mirrors the buzz, energy and synergy between cycling and coffee.
“For consumers nowadays craft, heritage and convenience are paramount and so we are providing a platform for independent brands and retailers whom you won‟t find on the high street.
“All this set against a backdrop of superb coffee, live music, fine food and craft beer!”
Ludovic Rossignol, head of events for the London Coffee Festival, adds: “London has become a Mecca for the ‘made by hand’ and with the return to simplicity, authenticity and clean lines, the link between coffee and cycling has never been stronger!
“We believe there's never been a better time to launch the very first caffeine-fuelled Christmas shopping event dedicated to coffee and bike lovers."
Entry costs £5 on the door, or you can get tickets for free online – although there is a booking fee of £1.75 per order and a maximum of two tickets can be ordered per transaction.
