#MyCyclingWeekend with Decathlon - The World Champs Begin

Your chance to win a set of Triban RC 500 Mid Season Gloves

Our header this week comes via  DirtyWKND and breakneckmtb

The World Road Race Championships begin this weekend and there is much racing to be done.

While we do love watching the Worlds, it does bring a tinge of sadness as the end of the season and therefore the end of the warm weather comes shortly after.

That said, it's still lovely outside and most of this weekend will be lovely for heading out on the bike.

Triban RC 500 Gloves

The mornings are getting a bit chilly though, so Decathlon has decided to put a pair of their Triban RC 500 Mid Season gloves up for grabs.

To win them, all you need to do is snap a pic while you're out on your bike this weekend and upload it to Instagram using #MyCyclingWeekend. While you're on Instagram, make sure you head over to @DecathlonUK_Cycling to give their page a follow.

Need some inspiration? Check out some entries from last week.

So here it is, the first proper pic of me and #mycanyon. New pedals, new shoes, new bike - that’s what I’ve been doing for the past month - adjusting to all things new. The saddle, the position on the bike - it’s all very different to my old good Fuji bike. On top of this, I also decided to change to new pedals - since I’ll need to adjust anyway, let it be all at once - so changed from mountain to road pedals. The answer is that I LOVE it haha. The bike is so light (just over 8kg (old bike over 12kg)), the ride is so smooth and so fast. I don’t think I’ve realised when I bought it how big the difference is going to be. It’s so much faster for so less effort comparatively - would that be stopping/starting at traffic lights or going uphill - the difference is visible. Though I’m still readjusting and learning. Don’t think I have acknowledge yet all new possibilities and things I could do - let’s say, I’ve just re-learnt how to hold the balance without hands on such light bike. Crazy right!? . . . . . . . . . . . #WomensCycling #womeninsport #womencycling #cyclinggirls #bikesgirls #womenonbikes #ridingistheanswer #rideeatsleeprepeat #EnjoyTheRide #fromwhereiride #beautyofcycling #cyclingculture #vscocycling #cyclingstagram #cyclinglife #cyclingphotos #cyclingphotography #cyclingshots #cyclingpics #cyclinglife #mycyclingweekend #cyclingmotivation

Son of a Marathon runner, Nephew of a National 24hr Champion, the racing genetics have completely passed him by. After joining the road.cc staff in 2016 as a reviewer, Liam quickly started writing feature articles and news pieces. After a little time living in Canada, where he spent most of his time eating poutine, Liam returned with the launch of DealClincher, taking over the Editor role at the start of 2018. At the weekend, Liam can be found racing on the road both in the UK and abroad, though he prefers the muddy fields of cyclocross. To date, his biggest race win is to the front of the cafe queue.
