Our Lauf True Grit gravel bike has been stolen from the back of a car in the Totterdown area of Bristol earlier today and we’d appreciate your help in getting it back.
Seeing as this is the only one of these bikes in the UK in this burnt orange colour (then only other one in the UK we know of is red), if you see one then it’s highly likely to be ours. As bikes go, it’s hugely distinctive thanks to the leaf-sprung fork up front.

The spec is exactly as pictured, with American Classic wheels, SRAM Rival Hydro brakes and 11spd groupset with Easton carbon cranks. The brakes are set up Euro-style (left-hand front) and the front Maxxis Rambler tyre is set up tubeless but has a puncture. It’s a medium frame.

If you see it being ridden around or are offered it for sale, please let us know and/or contact Avon and Somerset Police with the crime reference number: 5218010057
We will be offering a reward for the bike’s return, so if you have any information, please get in touch at info@off-road.cc

Fantastic … such a feminine piece of logic.
I once asked my girlfriend if her Dad had a Phillips screwdriver I could borrow, and she replied: “Oh, he’s not going to have one that make”.

And you’ve run out of chances. Too fucking stupid to hold back, aren’t you?
Racist and misogynistic.

Good luck in getting your bike back, Jon.

I live in Bristol and am out and about quite a bit and always gawping at bikes, I’ll keep an eye out for it but what are the recommended procedures should it be seen? Awkward. Phone police and follow the bike might be an option if time allows, keeping police updated? Attacking with any available weapon – brick, steel post – might be deserved by the thieving git but not exactly advisable legally. And it might not be the thief who’s riding it at the time.
I hope you manage to get it back, must be heartbreaking.
