Mountain biker Josh Lewis had a lucky escape when things went wrong on the trails and he ended up with 14 stitches in his, um… well, you know the meat and two veg? We’re talking about the meat.
How’s that lucky? Well, it could have been much worse. At least Josh wasn’t heading to hospital with Little Josh packed away in a water bottle awaiting reattachment.
The crash actually looks fairly innocuous – the sort that every mountain biker has had and walked away from quite happily. The wound caused by landing on the handlebar, on the other hand, looks… harrowing.
Don’t press ‘play’ if you’re just about to eat or go to sleep. You have been warned.
Josh might be walking funny for a while – and indeed he was walking funny on the way to A&E – but every scar tells a story, and it’ll be an interesting one.
Oh my gnarliness!

I’m not gonna watch the vid,
I’m not gonna watch the vid, but the screenshot at the top looks like there could be an unplugged handlebar involved – was that the case? Never, ever ride a bike that has (or ride with someone who’s bike has) unplugged handlebars!
Glad that Youtube, Instagram
Glad that Youtube, Instagram etc are blocked in the office. Not what I want to see whilst enjoying my friday bacon and hash brown barm.

Gracia crashed on Reunion Island, broke his pelvis and severed his femoral artery…
