Here in Oxfordshire, previous use of cycling money has been to speed up buses, and to plan a bridge from nowhere to nowhere on a towpath that takes an indirect route, to keep us off the roads.
Maybe Leeds could apply to rectify the cock up of the superhighway.
On the other hand, I'm sure there are other routes that need more parking or roundabouts replacing with lights.
well we all know what we're gonna get then... yet more shared use paths and cyclist dismount sighs and chicanes/bollards to slow us down...
Yeah I'm sure the new forest will apply again so they can resurface some more car parks.
Yes - the prize for 'most innovative use of using cycle fund money entirely for the benefit of not-cyclists'.
But I'm not sure many local authorities have even 10% of any major (or even minor) capital projects just sitting there unused, that's why they'd like some money from central government, please.
