No-one would accuse actor Brian Blessed of being softly, softly spoken (besides which, if we’re referencing TV cop shows of yesteryear, it was Z Cars he was in). But imagine that booming voice echoing in a disused railway tunnel on a popular cycling route?
Well, imagine no more. Here he is in a tunnel on the Monsal Trail in the Peak District National Park teaching BBC Radio Derbyshire’s Tom Ingall how to project his voice.
The phrase? Well, it could only be “Gordon’s alive!” from the cult 1980 movie Flash Gordon …
