Strava have launched the Cafe Run hosted by Look mum no hands! in London and G!RO in Esher, with a limited edition world championships mug for anyone who completes the ride and shares a photo through Strava.
Taking place all month, the first weekend saw over 100 people take part so we’d expect the 500 limited edition mugs to not last long at all. To claim a mug you simply need to ride the 30km from Look mum no hands! in London to G!RO in Esher, or the other way around, and post a photo to Instagram and link it to your Strava account.

You can link an Instagram account to a Strava profile so any photos you snap will be listed alongside your ride details. Strava have a guide to photo integration you can read here if you’re not sure how it works
Simon Klima from Strava said: “My #caferun was a great Sunday morning social, a casual spin with friends bookended by delicious coffee and cake, and the free mug was the cherry on the top.”

“This challenge is not concerned with what route you take, how far you can go, how many metre you can climb or how many KOMs you can bag. Just ride your bike with some friends, visit two lovely cafes and sample some cakes,” adds Sam from Look mum no hands!
You can see some of the early rides from the weekend here https://tagboard.com/caferun/search

This segment is a little out
This segment is a little out of the way for most. Perhaps someone should found the LCCC – LondonCentric Cycling Club.
Great route: from hipster
Great route: from hipster heartland to the depths of MAMIL country. What’s more, Putney Bridge is open again, I think.
LMNH is excellent. I didn’t know about Giro but Esher isn’t far from me so I’ll have to check it out. I’m not hopeful about the coffee, though. It’s very difficult to find decent espresso west of Clapham.

You know… If you don’t live
You know… If you don’t live near these cafés, that’s not really their fault. Why not ask two of your local cafés to do something similar.
BTW Esher isn’t in London.
