I recently got Di2, for some reason the shifter ignores the first shift when pressed, but when pressed a second time will shift the rear mech twice. Has anyone else experienced this/ have any idea how to make it play ball?

    Thanks in advance!

It makes no attempt on the first press whatsoever. It’s a full 6770 groupset, I’ll  look at swapping out the battery to a newer version so that it is compatible with the eTube project charger rather than the older PC connector and fingers crossed a reset will sort it. Thanks for the advice

    That’s very odd.

    That’s very odd.

    Which version of Di2?

Does it attempt to move the mech at all?

And is this anywhere in the range of the cassette or only from the extremes? (i.e biggest cog to next biggest, smallest cog to next smallest)

The shifters in the Di2 system are basically just dumb buttons – all the logic is stored in the battery. A reset using the charger connected to eTube project would be my first attempt at resolving it.
